ROSH HASHANAH

Once again this year there seems to be some confusion on when Rosh Hashanah (the head of the Year) is with many messianic coming to the faith. Just as when Jeroboam changed the times and the feast days, consequently sending Ephraim into Exile for 4730 years. Judah is doing the same threw proclamations by Rabbis. Hillel created the Civil calendar by which many Jews set their feast days. YHVH did not authorize this change, he alone controls time and space.

Scripture is very clear when we are to mark the biblical Rosh Hashanah. And Before you start replying with all the historical and Jewish halicah please understand YHVH is the Elohim of Israel, he alone can establish Halichah, which he clearly does in the Torah. At the end of this short Article I will post the scripture for you to read for yourself. Do not trade one set of apostate customs for another in an attempt to appear more Jewish.

Yahweh Clearly states, after the hail had beaten down the Barley and the flax but before the wheat was grown, during the plagues that this would be the beginning of months for us as a people. And until someone can show you that Yahweh authorized a change to his calendar you should not take part of any man made change to his Set apart times.

The first day of the Seventh moth is Yom Terruah (a memorial of the blowing of trumpets or the feast of acclamation). We arrive at this date by sighting in the spring the first sliver of the new moon after the barley if Bolden or in the ear. Fourteen days after that we celebrate the Pasach (Passover). On the fifteenth day we celebrate the first high Sabbath and the beginning of Unleavened bread. On the 21st day after the first sliver we arrive at the last day of unleavened bread and the final High Sabbath. At some point in that week of unleavened bread we will have a weekly Sabbath. The day after that weekly Sabbath, Sunday on the Gregorian calendar starts the counting of the Omer. This is where we count 49 days and on the fiftieth day we celebrate Shavuot, commonly referred to as Pentecost.

During this time we are to be observing every Sabbath and every new moon, counting them until we arrive at the seventh new moon and as previously stated when we sight that new moon it begins Yom Terruah. Ten days later we arrive at Yom Kippur (The day of Atonement). Now I’m going to stop here and elaborate a little bit on Yom Kippur because this day while it is freeing to our souls is a day like none of the other Mo-ed (appointed times) in that if it is not celebrated correctly YHVH says you are cut of from him and all of Israel. This is why observing YHVH’s calendar is so very important. And any change to the calendar even by one day could be catastrophic to you. And is the reason we rely solely on Yahweh and the calendar that he has painted into his very creation and not on the minds and calculations of man.

As I said the scripture that supports all of the propaganda I have been spouting will be listed at the end of this article but please indulge me on this one because it holds such weight I will add the scripture first then the comment. Lev 23:27-32 “On the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. It shall be a set-apart gathering for you. And you shall afflict your beings, and shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה. “And you do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before יהוה your Elohim. “For any being who is not afflicted on that same day, he shall be cut off from his people. “And any being who does any work on that same day, that being I shall destroy from the midst of his people. “You do no work – a law forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. ‘It is a Sabbath of rest to you, and you shall afflict your beings. On the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you observe your Sabbath.

So as we read hear we clearly understand that this is YHVH speaking and is emphasized by the quotation marks. And He clearly states that any one who does not afflict their soul on this day is cut of from his people, and if you do any work on that day he will destroy you from the midst of his people. Now what happens if the civil calendar is a day late or early and you did not afflict your soul and you worked on that day. Well YHVH would have to do exactly as he said and destroy you from among the people or he would be a liar and unjust. And we know that he is neither a liar or unjust. And there is no excuse for being wrong because he wrote is calendar in the heavens. And even if you can’t see you can ask someone who can.

So this is the main reason I make this such a big deal every year well every feast day because to get it wrong can mean your soul and that’s the only thing that really maters anyways because this flesh was produced from the earth and will return to the earth some day, but your soul is eternal.

Now that we’ve rapped that up lets continue on with the final feast day. On the 15th day of the seventh month begins Sukkot. The first day is a Sabbath and the feast last seven days. But on this feast, there is an additional day the 8th day, or as many say, “the last great day”. This 8th day is also a Sabbath day and a day you are commanded to have a holy convocation (a gathering of like minded believers praising Yahweh).

I hope this helps you understand YHVH’s calendar and you see the significance of keeping it exactly as he said to. These are is Appointed times not his suggested times. If your boss told you to be in the office at 9am on Tuesday or you where no longer going to be employed I think you would be there exactly when he told you or know the consequences. So why do we allow men who are imperfect by nature to tell us why YHVH did not know what he was talking about.
